Founded in 1978, the aim of Babel is to promote foreign languages and inter-cultural exchanges.   It offers lessons in French as a foreign language, German, English, Spanish and Italian, in small groups and with the emphasis on communication.   There are also conversation groups, children’s classes, cultural evenings and cinema outings.   In the clubhouse, there is an English lending library ("The Library”), thanks to its partnership with Open House Association and Alliance Grenoble-Oxford.
